THANK YOU to the people that have signed up already to volunteer in our football concession stand this Friday, September 11th. We are in need of a total of approximately 20 volunteers to run both stands effectively. If we do not have enough volunteers we will NOT open the visitor side. Please consider signing up for either home side or visitor this Friday. We need volunteers to help feed the band students and all the students/families that come to support our band, football team, and cheerleaders. This again is another major funding source for our music and band program. Any volunteer that has signed up will be provided free entrance into the game. Corvette Show – Help Needed
URGENT HELP NEEDED on all shifts: Please consider helping for one car show shift during your busy schedules. Now that school has started and band practice is in full swing most shifts cannot be filled by the students so we need A LOT of adult help. If we have to close down the concession stand this weekend that is a huge loss of much needed funds for our band/music program. Please find four hours to help. Remember the money raised through the concession is a primary source of fundraising to help support our band and music programs. Please see the list below for where you can help this weekend and contact Lisa Burley at concessions@carlislehighschoolband.org to receive free parking and entrance passes.

Ironing Bee
The first Ironing Bee of this year’s season will be on Wednesday, 12 August, at 6:00 p.m. What’s an ironing bee, you may ask? With all of the alterations to the uniforms nearly complete, one last pressing is needed so that the kids look their best for their pictures on Friday. We are specifically talking about pants and hems. If you’re interested and available, we will meet in the Mirror Room. Please bring an iron and an ironing board, if yours isn’t attached to your house like mine. I bring a big towel and use a desk top. We meet, iron the pants, get to know each other, and otherwise have a great time. All are cordially invited – what’s that saying about many irons make light pressing?!
