Indoor Percussion

Good luck to the Indoor Percussion on their last competition (prior to Championships) tomorrow at Conestoga Valley HS.  Information about the competition can be found on the 2019 Indoor Percussion Competition page. Annual Elections

Are you interested in being more involved in the band? Do you possess leadership skills? Do you like to plan events? Are you good at communicating and working with others? If so the band boosters NEED YOU!

We are currently looking for those who might like to be an officer on the band booster board for the 2019-2020 school year! You can volunteer for ANY of the jobs, and positions will be voted on at our Spring Banquet on April 30, 2019.

Contact the booster president if you would like to submit your name or the name of someone else for any of the positions. If you have questions you may contact anyone on the board for more information.

Car Show Season Starts Soon!

Car show concessions generate our largest source of income and are a crucial part of supporting our marching band and music programs! Our first car show, Spring Carlisle, is April 24-28, 2019. No experience is needed for many jobs, and everyone who works earns money into a student account to help offset the cost of the band trip (and this is a TRIP YEAR)! This is a really busy show, so please help out and sign up for a shift or two.

Help is also needed cleaning our freezers on March 30, cleaning our concession stand on April 7, and doing pre-car show prep on April 22.

March Performances

March is the month in which we celebrate “Music In Our Schools” and we invite you to support our students and our music program by attending any (or all) of the following concerts:

  • CASD District Choir Concert on March 14, 2019 at 7 PM in the Barr Auditorium
  • CASD District Band Concert on March 19, 2019 at 7 PM in the Barr Auditorium
  • CASD District Orchestra Concert on March 21, 2019 at 7 PM in the Barr Auditorium

Concession Committee Meeting

The Concession Committee would like to meet with parents of marching band, guard, indoor color guard, and indoor percussion on March 12, 2019 following the 6:00 PM booster meeting. We will be discussing the upcoming Spring Car Show. Other items on the agenda include changes to the menu, cleaning dates, prepping dates, and delivery dates. Please plan to attend this very important meeting since car shows are our biggest source of income.

Gourmet Popcorn of Carlisle Fundraiser

This is the last week to participate in the popcorn fundraiser! Orders and money must be turned in by Thursday, February 28, 2019. You can turn in your order/money at indoor guard or indoor percussion rehearsal on Thursday or you can place it in the box on the door of the drum major’s office. Indoor Percussion and Indoor Color Guard Competitions

Good luck to both our Indoor Percussion and Indoor Color Guard groups as they compete on Saturday, February 16th at Central Dauphin High School.
