Online Payments Available

The band boosters are now able to accept online payments for some band expenses. We are starting with student account payments, uniform account payments, and theme shirt orders. Over time we may be able to accommodate online payments for additional services or items.

You can utilize all three of these online payment options from the Members Only page on our web site. The page section titled “Online Payments” provides links to begin each online payment process.

Student Account Payments – These payments are credited directly to your student account, which is used to pay for band trips and certain other band expenses.

Uniform Account Payments – If your student purchased any uniform items from the Uniform Committee, you can pay for them using this online payment process.

Order Marching Band Theme Shirts – You can order and pay for theme shirts using this process. Your order can be picked up at the Band Stand table, set up near the band room during the latter portion of practice on Thursdays.

Photo/Video Archive

We would like to start building an online archive of photos and videos of current and past band performances, people, and activities.  If you would like to submit electronic versions of photos or videos for inclusion in this archive, please email Scott Kronheim at webmaster@carlislehighschoolband.org to make arrangements to collect your contributions.  As the archive begins to take shape, we will publish more information about how to access it.

Varsity Jackets

The time to order varsity jackets is quickly approaching:  Tuesday, 11 August, at 5:45 p.m.  Although students must at least be a sophomore to order one, the number of years in the band does not prevent them from wearing one proudly!

The attached letter explains the jacket, cost, and timing; the order form is for your use if placing one.

Ironing Bee

The first Ironing Bee of this year’s season will be on Wednesday, 12 August, at 6:00 p.m.  What’s an ironing bee, you may ask?  With all of the alterations to the uniforms nearly complete, one last pressing is needed so that the kids look their best for their pictures on Friday.  We are specifically talking about pants and hems.  If you’re interested and available, we will meet in the Mirror Room.  Please bring an iron and an ironing board, if yours isn’t attached to your house like mine.  I bring a big towel and use a desk top.  We meet, iron the pants, get to know each other, and otherwise have a great time.  All are cordially invited – what’s that saying about many irons make light pressing?!  Just let one of us know if you’re coming and we’ll save an outlet. Car Show Passes and Football Concessions

Reminder: Passes for this upcoming Truck car show will be available at the beginning of practice this Tuesday. We are in desperate need of help on Friday from 11am-4pm still!  Click here to sign up.
 
Football season is fast approaching. We have five home games and this is another huge fundraiser for our band/music program. We open a concession stand on the home side and on the visitor side for each of these games. The football team, cheerleaders, and our band students need your HELP in these stands to feed all of the students and fans that come in support. Each of our concession stands are vital not only to our financial need but necessary during each football game. NO EXPERIENCE needed for helping. Hat and closed shoes are required while working in the concession stands. We have opportunities serving drinks, pizza making, fryer, order taking, prep worker, clean up/dishwasher, floater, and so much more. Start time at the concessions stands is approximately 5pm.
