The band is currently in the process of collecting and organizing photos and we need your help. If you have any band photos that you are willing to share with the band, please contact media@carlislehighschoolband.org to make arrangements for sharing these photos. These can be photos of marching band (performances, trips, band camp, etc.), Indoor Guard, Indoor Percussion, Concert and Symphonic Bands, Galaxies and Sunrise, or any other band event. Any band photos are welcome!
A special thanks to those who have already shared pictures – your contributions are greatly appreciated!
To view the current collection of photos, visit the CHS Photo Albums page.
If you missed the kickoff meeting, it’s not too late to join the band! Rehearsals begin on June 5 at 6 pm for winds and guard and on June 19 at 6 pm for percussion (pit and battery).
View the CHS Marching Band page for summer rehearsal schedules, the new parent presentation, booster documents, and all the forms that need to be filled out. Any questions contact the band director, Mr. Byron Mikesell, at mikesellb@carlisleschools.org.
The 2018-2019 marching band season is going to be the best season yet, so sign up today and see you at rehearsal in June!
Ford Nationals is just a week away, running from June 1-3, 2018. This is a big show and there are lots of open spots still available! Students, you can work any front counter position (including register and drinks) as well as in the back food prep area. Click here for a complete list of all car shows and signups.
Volunteers are also needed to prep for the car show. This will happen during the graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 31 at the concession stand. Any non-senior parent, please come out and help! This is also a great opportunity for new parents to check out the concession stand.
Car show passes and parking tickets can be picked up from Hope. Contact her at concessions@carlislehighschoolband.org to make arrangements.
This is an EASY and FUN way to help the band and to support the students!
Everyone loves a parade, and the Carlisle Memorial Day Parade is just a week away! We would love to have our alumni join in the fun and march in the combined high school and middle school marching band. Practices are held this week on Tuesday and Friday. Click here for more information, including music and rehearsal schedule.
It’s almost here – the kickoff meeting for the 2018 marching band season!

The kickoff meeting will be held on May 23, 2018 from 7 – 8 PM in the band area. This is for returning students, new students, and any student who just wants to find out more about marching band! Current students – INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!
While the student meeting is taking place there will be a meeting for parents of new and prospective students. This meeting, also held in the band area, will give new parents an opportunity to find out about marching band from band boosters who have had students in the marching band program for many years.
Click here for more information, to view rehearsal schedules, and to fill out forms.
Help is still needed for the car show running from May 18 – May 20.
Car shows can be lots of fun, and you can earn money into a student account for every shift worked!
Students – your help is needed too. You can work any of the front positions (counter, drinks, register) or in the back food prep area.
So spread the word and sign up for a shift!
(And YES – even Mr. Mikesell has worked at the car show – it really is a ton of fun!)
Congratulations to senior band member, Allison Closs, for being awarded the Jason Smith Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship, in memory of Carlisle graduate Jason Smith, is awarded to a Carlisle High School senior who has demonstrated the connection between music and kindness in a meaningful way.
