After this week and several more local TIA competitions, the Westshoremen will be traveling to Wildwood NJ to compete in the Atlantic Coast Championships in early May. We wish the best of luck to these former Carlisle Color Guard young ladies at the WGI Championships, and in their future in Color Guard.
During the 2013-2014 school year, the very first Distinguished Alumnus Award was presented to Mr. Lawrence Loh, class of 1988. Every year since then, a new band alumnus has been recognized. The purpose of this award is to recognize a former member of the Carlisle High School Band who graduated from Carlisle High School and has distinguished themselves by achieving outstanding accomplishments in their chosen field, has served their communities, state, or nation, and will serve as a role model for current and future Carlisle High School band members.
If you know of any band alumnus who embodies these traits, please nominate them for the next Distinguished Alumnus Award. Nomination information can be found on our website, where you can also read the bios of past award recipients. All nominations must be received by July 1, 2018.
Every year the band recognizes a band alumnus who has made a difference, and this year there were two alumni chosen to receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Don and Marjie Mowery were recognized at the recent band banquet and presented with their award. You can read about them and other award recipients on the Alumni page of the website!
Congratulations Don and Marjie Mowery!
