3rd Annual Trunk or Treat

3rd Annual Trunk or Treat Thursday, October 31st
following practice

Time to line up is 8:45 pm along the access road behind the band room. Feel free to decorate your trunk and yourselves if you so choose. Please plan to stay until all the band students have a chance to come through the line of cars. The pit musicians have to put their instruments away at the barn and often are later than the rest of the band.

Your band student will need a bag to hold their collection of candy and treats as well!
Everyone is welcome and this event is a favorite of the students each year! We hope to see you there!

Spring Band Concert

This Thursday evening, May 2, 2019, our students will present our annual Spring Band concert in McGowan’s Barr Auditorium. The concert begins at 7:30PM, is free and open to the public.  All are invited to attend!

Immediately preceding the concert at 6:45PM, the CHS Band Boosters will conduct their annual spring business meeting in the high school cafeteria.  The time and location have been changed for this year to make it possible for more people to access the meeting and vote in the annual booster officer elections.  Please join us for this brief meeting when you bring your student for the concert.

Concessions Committee Chair(s) Needed

The Concession Committee is looking for one or two volunteers to run the Fairgrounds concession stand, and one or two volunteers to run the Football Stadium concession stands. These volunteers would be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the stands. They would make sure that inventory is ordered as needed and stock is rotated. These stands are the band booster’s main source of income for marching band, indoor guard, and indoor percussion. Keeping them running is vital to this organization. Interested persons should contact the former concession committee chair Hope Sale at concessions@carlislehighschoolband.org.

The concession committee would like to have a meeting with anyone interested in helping immediately after the February band booster meeting.

Trunk or Treat

October 30th is the second annual Trunk or Treat night for the band! Candy will be passed out at the end of practice to the students and staff as they walk back from the field. Parents may decorate their cars or even dress in costume. Cars should be parked along the road by the band room no later than 8:45 PM. There are 69 kids in the band plus staff, and parents are responsible for providing their own candy. We ask that parents stay until the very end to make sure that all of the kids have received candy.
