Greetings from the Fairgrounds Concession Stand
Just wanted to update everyone on where we stand as of today. (Subject to change and change again) Our first show is Ford National June 5-7 2020. Providing the President, Governor, and CDC say it’s safe to do so. A very small group of volunteers have been cleaning the stand and I happy to say that the floors and walls have been deep cleaned. In a few weeks the freezers and fridges will be cleaned in preparation for them being turned on. We are trying to wait until the last possible day so we don’t have empty freezers running so no exact date yet. Once we know 100% the show is a go then we’ll set up deliveries.
VOLUNTEER SAFETY
To ensure everyone’s safety here is what we are doing and requiring everyone to do. As always everyone MUST were a hat/hairnet. Everyone Must were comfortable shoes that covers the toes and heels. NEW! Everyone Must wear food serving gloves. Everyone Must wear a face mask (volunteers are asked to provide their own). Hand sanitizer will be available to use IN ADDITION TO washing your hands. We are also installing sneeze guards on the front counter. We will attempt to follow social distance but understand that it might not be possible 100% of the time. We are asking you to STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK. These are in addition to what Carlisle Events is doing to keep vendors and community safe.
We are hoping that with these added measures that you would feel safe enough to volunteer. These car shows are the band’s biggest fund raiser. So please help us make it as successful as possible.
