Marching Band Reminders
Just a few reminders to parents and students:
- Practice this week:
- Tuesday, June 26, for everyone from 6 PM – 9 PM
- Thursday, June 28, for guard and percussion from 6 PM – 9 PM
- If you are not going to be at rehearsal fill out the Online Absence Request Form. Remember – you are expected to be at rehearsal if you are in town!
- Please fill out the Online Parent Form and Online Student Form. These forms are for both new and returning students.
- Fill out and return the Code of Conduct Form (last page only) and the Student Medical Form.

Kool Pops!
This year the band will be bringing back the well loved tradition of handing out Kool Pops to students and staff after rehearsals during band camp! But first we need someone to step up and coordinate volunteers and organize the collection of Kool Pops. If you are interested in helping or have any questions, please contact the booster president or secretary.
Support Our Band Students!
Helping at a car show is an easy and fun way to help support the band and our band students!
The car
show start tomorrow, and we still have several openings for Saturday as well as many open spots for Sunday! Please consider working a shift. Friends, parents, and alumni are all welcome to come out and help!
Rehearsal Tonight – Update
The rehearsal tonight, June 21 from 6 PM- 9 PM, is only for percussion. This is a change to the original schedule. Sorry for any confusion!
Parent Meeting
There will be a band booster parent meeting on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 6 PM for parents of middle school band students. The meeting will be held in the Spanish room located near the band entrance. Any questions, contact the booster president at president@carlislehighschoolband.org.

Summer Band Rehearsal
The percussion joins the winds and guard tonight, June 19, at rehearsal from 6 pm – 9 pm. Practice on Thursday is for percussion and guard.

Distinguished Alumnus Award
During the 2013-2014 school year, the very first Distinguished Alumnus Award was presented to Mr. Lawrence Loh, class of 1988. Every year since then, a new band alumnus has been recognized. The purpose of this award is to recognize a former member of the Carlisle High School Band who graduated from Carlisle High School and has distinguished themselves by achieving outstanding accomplishments in their chosen field, has served their communities, state, or nation, and will serve as a role model for current and future Carlisle High School band members.
If you know of any band alumnus who embodies these traits, please nominate them for the next Distinguished Alumnus Award. Nomination information can be found on our website, where you can also read the bios of past award recipients. All nominations must be received by July 1, 2018.

Chevrolet Nationals
The Chevrolet Nationals car show is this week, June 22-24, and help is still needed! Volunteers are also needed Wednesday, 6 PM at the fairgrounds, for food prep. Support our students and the band – signup to help!
