It is with great sadness that we inform you that early this morning Mr. Clyde Barr passed away. Clyde was a beloved band director at Carlisle High School from 1962/63 until 1976/77, and he touched the lives of so many of us. He will be missed.
A Celebration of the Life of Clyde Barr will be held on Sunday, July 1, at 1:30pm at the Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church Social Hall (87 Marsh Drive,
Carlisle, PA 17015). A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

The next car show is the Chevrolet Nationals, running from June 22-24, 2018. Please consider signing up and helping out. Everyone has fun working at the car shows and it is an easy way to help fund the band program!

Prepping for the car show will take place on June 20, 2018 at 6 pm at the fairgrounds. Grill training will also be available for anyone interested. Contact concessions with any questions.
Passes will be available before and after band practice on Tuesday, June 19. You can also pick up passes at the car show Wednesday evening at the fairgrounds.
The Band Boosters now have their own FB group. This is a group for anyone who would like to help in the booster organization to support the band. Please join the group and share the link below with friends and family who may have an interest in helping! Join the CHS Band Booster Volunteers FB group.
The next band booster meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 6 pm in the band area. Everyone is invited to attend this meeting. It’s a great opportunity for new parents to find out how they can help support their band student and ways that they can get involved in the band booster organization.
Help is still needed at the Ford car show. The specific shifts that are in dire need of help are the Saturday 2 pm – 6 pm shift and the Sunday 6 am – 10 am shift. Please sign up if you can help at either of those shifts! Click here to sign up.

The band is currently in the process of collecting and organizing photos and we need your help. If you have any band photos that you are willing to share with the band, please contact media@carlislehighschoolband.org to make arrangements for sharing these photos. These can be photos of marching band (performances, trips, band camp, etc.), Indoor Guard, Indoor Percussion, Concert and Symphonic Bands, Galaxies and Sunrise, or any other band event. Any band photos are welcome!
