Help Needed This Week!
We need your help this week at the car show! The most “in-need” shifts are currently Saturday 2-6PM and Sunday 6-10AM. Please help with this if you can!
We are asking each parent to register for at least one shift in 3 different car shows for the season. We have a lot of fun working together to support our band program.

2019 Show Reveal Slated for Monday 5/20/19 at 5:30PM in the HS Band room. Students please join us if you can. If unable to attend, that’s OK! We’ll be posting more information online at this address:

Our marching band parent meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4 at 6:15PM in the HS Band Room. All parents are invited to attend this informational meeting where Mr. Mikesell will talk about the season schedule and all the kinds of things parents want to know about.
Concessions Help Needed!
We need help staffing our concession stand at the car show this week – beginning with prep for the show Wednesday evening. Please volunteer if you have any time to help with this important fundraiser for our band program.

Your help is needed to prep for next week’s car show!
Next week is our next car show. Volunteers are still needed for several shifts. Prepping for the next show will be on Wednesday May 15 at 6pm. Passes will be available at the fairgrounds on May 15 at 6pm.

Spring Band Concert
This Thursday evening, May 2, 2019, our students will present our annual Spring Band concert in McGowan’s Barr Auditorium. The concert begins at 7:30PM, is free and open to the public. All are invited to attend!
Immediately preceding the concert at 6:45PM, the CHS Band Boosters will conduct their annual spring business meeting in the high school cafeteria. The time and location have been changed for this year to make it possible for more people to access the meeting and vote in the annual booster officer elections. Please join us for this brief meeting when you bring your student for the concert.

Coming up soon is the Memorial Day Parade and you are invited to join us!
The Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 27, 2019 with a kickoff at 9 am. We would love to have alumni, parents and friends of the band join the CHS Bands as well as the Carlisle Middle School Band for this event! Congratulations to the following marching band students who successfully auditioned into the PMEA Region V Band festival that was held March 7-9, 2019 at Conrad Weiser High School.

Andrew Morgan qualified to participate in PMEA All-State Band in Pittsburgh April 3-6, 2019. Having reached this level, Andrew is now qualified to submit an audition for the MENC (Music Educators National Conference) National Band.
CASD Jazz Concert
The Carlisle Music Department would like to invite you to an evening of jazz at their upcoming CASD Jazz Concert on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 7 PM in the Barr Auditorium. This free concert features our two jazz ensembles from Carlisle High School – Galaxies and Sunrise. Also performing is our Middle School Jazz Band which includes students from both Wilson and Lamberton Middle Schools. Please come out and support our talented musicians!
