The end of band season is quickly approaching! We will be holding the Fall banquet on Monday, November 13 from 6:00-9:00pm at the CHS McGowan Cafeteria. The link below will allow you to see what each grade level is responsible for providing. Also, we are looking for any pictures you may have taken of the kids this season. If you have any that you could share, please send them to email@example.com. We would like to share them at the banquet.
We have started to receive some information about Championships. We will be going to Allentown again this year. It looks like we will be competing on Sunday, November 12 (We are in the Yankee Division). At this time we do not have an exact schedule for performance times. Those will be posted on November 6th through the Cavalcade website.
We MUST purchase our ticket directly through Cavalcade or at the gate. I am attaching a .pdf with information regarding the Championships. Please take a moment to read through the document. It has many important details about street parking, ticket prices, etc…
Take a peak at the new theme shirts.
We will be ordering theme shirts this week. Amy and Ellen will be collecting band student t-shirt sizes on Tuesday night at practice. Please remind your student to see one of them. Each marching band student will get a shirt FREE.
If any parent would like to order a shirt please respond back with your name, phone, shirt size(s). Each shirt will be $10. Please let me know by Tuesday evening if you would like to order a shirt.
If you missed the last fitting for varsity jackets, Quest is coming back on Tuesday, September 12 at 5:45.
If you are interested in ordering a jacket, payment is due before I can place the order. Money would be due September 15th.
Please note that if this order is less than six jackets total, there will be an additional $10 charge added.
Please let me know if your child is coming to the fitting so that I can give Quest a head count.

Chaperones are needed for home and away football games, parades, and competitions. If you are able to give your time for any of these events, you will not regret it. You will truly enjoy the interaction with the band members as they carry on the winning tradition of the Marching Band. Chaperone duties include carrying stand music to the stands at football games, placing seat covers on stadium seats for the band members to sit on, passing out plumes before they perform, sitting in the band section during the 3rd quarter of football games while the students are getting something to eat to make sure no one goes through the band section, checking uniforms after we get back to the school, taking roll call on bus trips, assisting the pit crew with loading and unloading the equipment truck, and being prepared to help the students with last minute malfunctions such as sewing on a button or safety pin snaps that break.
All chaperones must have current clearances on file with the school district. Clearance information can be found at https://carlislehighschoolband.org/chs-band-boosters/clearance-information/ Once you have your clearances, please drop them off to the Executive Secretary Michelle Sarokon, located in the building at 623 W. Penn St.
While there are game times showing at 7 pm, arrival times will differ obviously for travel time etc. This information will be communicated as soon as possible!

Ironing Bee – Thursday, August 10 from 6 – 8. Bring your iron and ironing board to press uniforms and make our band look great while enjoying light refreshments and getting to know one another. No RSVP is required, just show up!
Band Camp Meals – The students work hard during band camp and look forward to the meals/refreshments we provide but it takes a small army to feed them. Please consider contributing your time and/or nourishment.
Concession Stand – Both the car show and football concession stand proceeds benefit EVERYONE in the band.
